It was a very warm day in San Diego and we headed out to the Park early. Claire has an assignment to do on conservation so it was terrific to find that the Park is very keen on conservation and a particularly strong advocate of Xeriscaping, planting plants in a particular order of size and durability in relation to water.

We took a trolley bus around the Park to see the wildlife, but it didn't compare with Werribee Zoo - we are truly spoilt. We were a long way from the animals and there was no interaction at all with them. However, they did have an area where the kids could go and brush the goats and Claire enjoyed her time with them.
